Prof. Shimshon Belkin is a Professor Emeritus at the Institute of Life Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He is the past chair of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences (Inst. of Life Sciences) and the Department of Environmental Sciences (School of Applied Science), the past director of the Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences and Technological Management teaching programs and the incumbent of the university’s Chair in Industrial Hygiene. Current research in the Belkin lab is mostly focused on the design and molecular engineering of microbial-based whole-cell sensors for diverse applications, and their integration into compatible hardware platforms.

Thomas J. Websters (H index: 122; Google Scholar) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has served as a professor at Purdue (2000-2005), Brown (2005-2012), and Northeastern (2012-2021; serving as Chemical Engineering Department Chair from 2012 - 2019) Universities and has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 20,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society For Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.

Our research group is mainly working on the development of novel nanomaterials such as carbon dots. After synthesis, purification and characterization by various spectroscopies and microscopies, we are especially interested in the application of carbon dots in drug delivery to treat Alzheimer’s disease, bone mineralization process and many types of cancer. Except for drug delivery, our research group is also investigating the application of 2D or 3D printing, biosensing, photocatalysis and cosmetics using carbon dots. Another focus of our research group is the study of surface chemistry of organic and biological supramolecular complexes using Langmuir monolayer technique.

Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, and stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professorships at ETH Zurich (2020, 2023, 2024), editor of a unique book on non-destructive evaluation (NDE) of corrosion, editor of a book on cracking of welds, editor-in-chief of an Elsevier journal and two MDPI journals, member the Editorial Boards of a few journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and over 60 plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 265 peer-reviewed international journal publications, 15 book chapters/books and over 100 reviewed conference publications, and several competitive research grants (that include 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 53 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprised/comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Civil Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, American and Israeli).

Roya Dastjerdi, PhD, Associate Professor, winner of national and international awards, has comprehensively worked on green biomimetic photocatalysis, green air, water, and wastewater purification, comprehensively engineered green and sustainable production techniques for mass production, advanced surface and bulk nano-biofunctionalization, sustainable multifunctional nanofunctionalizations, medical textiles, regenerative medicine, DDS, green, smart, bioactive and antibacterial polymers, nanocomposites, etc. She has successfully worked on the main fundamental challenges on different humanitarian aspects of smart nano-bio-engineered textiles. Her accomplishments offer pathways for many advances with remarkable potentiality to scale-up. She has written one book in the field and recorded 20 national patents. She has been selected as one of the national elite and received more than 1000 international invitations from high-ranked scientific events, institutes, publications, and etc.

A practicing physician in the field of healthcare in the state of Kerala in India for the last 36 years and very much interested in basic research. My interest is spread across the fever, inflammation and back pain. I am a writer. I already printed and published Ten books on these subjects. I wrote hundreds of articles in various magazines. I am Mary Anbarasi Johnson working as a professor and Head in pediatric nursing department ,CMC Vellore.I worked as Clinical Nurse Specialist in PICU for a year and as Assist Professor in USA for two years.US faculty &friends went out of their ways to help me.I also worked as Assit.Director of Nursing,in Saudi Arabia Defence Sector, ( Kamis Mushayt Armed Forces Hospitals for the Southern Saudi Arabia Region) ,I have learnt much about military from the excellent and amicable team there . I have served in CMC Vellore as Deputy Nurisng Superintendent for staff training and quality assurance,NABH Co-ordination, HICC -coordination etc. I have been CMC Instituitional research board member for more than 4 years. CMC gave me opportunity to be secretary for the HICC (Hospital Infection Control Commiittee )secretary for a term.CMC gave me opportunity to be Master trainer for International Projects like GFATM ,IMNCI at national level aswell national projects like ICMR Infection control ,Child Sexual Abuse Protection ,OSCE by Dr.MGR Medical university aswell Diabetic of Educators programme etc. It also gave me opportunity to be examiner or paper setter for various levels of nursing students for 6 universities and inspector for Dr.MGR Medical University .I am very much interested in reviewing articles.I have published in 70 national , international journals and presented in around 30 national and international conferences.
